Our Story
Albizia Tours and Lodge is a start-up tour company based out of Arusha, Tanzania. Born out of a passion for travel, sustainability, and a genuine love of Tanzania we launched our tour operations in 2018. After nearly a decade guiding Kilimanjaro and safari tours, and witnessing the inequalities many crew members face, we knew the only way we could make a difference in the tourism industry would be by creating our own responsibly-grounded company that respects the local communities, environment, and the principles of fair ethics and sustainability within a country we love.
Albizia provides a unique perspective on tourism, drawing upon our diversity and extensive knowledge of tourism, both in Tanzania and beyond. Founded by a local Tanzanian tour operator and his Canadian wife, Albizia brings you the best of both cultures. With deep roots in Chagga, Meru, and Maasai culture, we are able to bring you a more authentic and honest experience - one that you are sure to cherish for the genuine connections it will provide you – alongside an incredible journey you will remember for years to come!
